French civilians on streets. MSs, Frenchmen with flags, give wine to US soldiers. Pan from sign "Berniers" on building to wrecked German tank. British soldiers nearby. CU, sign, "Sainte Mere-Eglise" on road. MSs, paratroopers on captured horse and in captured amphibious car. Short scene, wrecked German equipment on side of roads. Pan down wrecked buildings in town.
