Summary

Reel 2 Part 1, German motorcycle troops move along a road in Lithuania, pass flaming Russian equipment, and receive flowers from women and children in Vilna, Part 2, skirmishers move along a road, antitank guns are fired, and German infantry move through the blazing ruins of Jonava, Lithuania (a synagogue is the only undamaged building). Women weep over the exhumed bodies of those massacred by the fleeing Russians. Part 3, German cavalry, motorcyclists, and horse-drawn artillery move through Schaulen, Lithuania. Field and machine guns are fired; a Russian bunker is attacked with flamethrowers. Village women shower German cavalry troopers with flowers. Part 4, German infantry move up. An antitank gun is fired. Loudspeakers demand the surrender of a Russian garrison; the Russians emerge and are searched. Part 5, German horse-drawn artillery and infantry enter Dunaburg as the citizens cheer. Tanks and infantry advance. Russian positions on the edge of a forest are shelled; the Russians surrender.
