HS, bomb-wrecked town of Cassino. CU pamphlet, "Italian Friends - BEWARE'', signed by the 5th Army telling the people to evacuate the area. MS, soldiers load pamphlets into shells; leaflets are fired in direction of Monastery; hits can be seen. VS, formation of B-26 bombers fly over Cassino cut to bombs falling and exploding on Monastery.. Excellent scenes of bombs as they fall directly upon and in the near vicinity of the Monastery. Huge columns of smoke engulf the area. LS, vapor trails from bombers. Record Group 111 CU Ext LS, monastery before and after bombing.
