1944/09/15 - 08:00 Peleliu Island - D-day landing MS over bow of LCI going ashore, white breakers on the beach, heavy clouds of smoke, man holding on to side of boat, nothing else is visible except the hand. AA of shore MS-PAN Marines rool over side of LVT onto sand and push ahead CU Marine pinned down on beach, pushing his way through sand, burning ship in BG, barbed wire at edge of beach. DUKW laying out a little off shore, burning. MS LVT pulled up and a burning ship in BG US plane MS PAN dark clouds of smoke rising, camera stops on a machine gun emplacement. MS Marines rushing from LVT which has just pulled in to edge of water. They are wading ashore. Good shot of LVT pulled up beside burning tractor. CU Marines as they make their way past camera, one heavy machine gun by camera.
